OMG this is ME so much >> Having ADHD is like having twenty bulletin boards, but no pins. There’s a lot of chaos—and nothing really sticks.
Writing down what I do in an hour, I can see how it must be exhausting for my family to live with me and my adult ADD.
Just today, while writing a portion of a complex SQL query for the day job, I stopped to ponder an architecture decision, so I grabbed my trumpet and worked on a lick from the Tower of Power lead sheets I have on the music stand here.

While playing piccolo, I notice that my plant needs watering. I go grab a glass of water for it, and proceed to drink the water (because I forgot why I got the water).
The water, of course, reminds me that there’s a sprinkler head in the front yard that was mis-aimed.
Which reminds me that I forgot to pick up the dog poo in the front lawn, which reminds me that the lawn needs to get mowed, which reminds me that it was my eldest daughter’s (Paige) turn to mow and she somehow skipped out, which reminds me that Paige is making me a birthday cake for my birthday Thursday, which reminds me that I have a free Starbuck’s drink to purchase, which…
Well, you get it.
